Key Achievements & Impact
Through sustained digital advocacy and community engagement in 2025 GDA achieved the following outcomes:
- GDA became the first OPD to open an office in Marsabit County (Moyale)
- Persons with Disabilities now have representation at the monthly County Steering Group ( CSG)
- Facilitated the first engagement between Persons with Disability from (Nairobi, Machakos , Kiambu) to shape a national agenda. ( CSG)
- Promoted disability inclusion online through X spaces( highlighting exclusion in biometric system like fingerprint tech) Machakos , Kiambu) to shape a national agenda. ( CSG)
- Developed a Blueprint on Technology for Rights & Freedoms as an advocacy tool
- Increased visibility of disability issues affecting persons with disabilities at the grassroots level .
- Amplification of lived experiences and voices often excluded from mainstream discourse
- Enhanced recognition of disability -led advocacy within digital and civic spaces.
